The mission of Environmental Enforcement, a department within the Pickens County Community Development Division, is to work in partnership with Pickens County residents and stakeholders to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment. The primary goal of this department is to ensure the health and safety of all Pickens County residents through a systematic, yet sensitive, enforcement of Pickens County ordinances and State Law pertaining to Litter and Property Maintenance.

Our officers Investigate complaints regarding various codes of the County and laws of the State, including, litter, trash, illegal dumping, unsecured loads, county development standards, junkyards, weeds, abandoned vehicles, and property maintenance.
