
Emergency Services Advisory Board
Purpose: The emergency services board shall consult with the county fire service division regarding fire service in the county and matters affecting the districts.

The emergency services board shall consist of 12 members. Two members of the emergency service board shall be appointed from each council district. One member of the emergency services board from each council district shall initially serve for a one-year term and the other member shall initially serve for a two-year term. Upon the expiration of the initial term of each member of the emergency services board, a successor shall be appointed in the same manner as the original appointment by council for a term of two years. Members of the emergency services board may be reappointed after the expiration of their terms and there shall be no limitations on the number of successive terms that may be filled. Any member may be removed upon a super-majority vote (66.66 percent) of the full council.
Any vacancy, regardless of how such vacancy occurs, shall be filled by council for the remainder of such member's original term. The emergency services board shall organize and arrange meetings as necessary and shall further make arrangements to elect necessary officers, including a chair to preside over meetings.
