Chris Bowers, Chairman

pickens (139)-2 Chairman Chris Bowers is the District 5 representative for Pickens County Council. Chris was elected to County Council in 2016 to serve the Easley community. Professionally, Chris has a diverse background in the medical field. In 2003, he received his degree in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and has worked within his family’s business, Bowers Emergency Service, in many roles. In 2008, Chris completed his Nursing degree and has worked in many areas of Baptist Easley where currently he works in Nursing Administration. Chris has been very active in the healthcare community and currently serves on the SC Trauma Advisory board, as well as the SC DHEC EMS Advisory Board. Community involvement has been instrumental in Chris’s career. He has participated and served on numerous boards and committees throughout his community. Chris was placed on the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce board of directors, after completing Leadership Pickens County he joined the board of regents where he served as Chair, Junior Leadership Pickens County board, and serves on the Alliance Pickens board. Chris has received the Tri County Technical College “Advisory Board of the Year” award and was recognized as “Young Professional of the Year” by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. Chris enjoys traveling with his wife Ashley and daughter Brooklyn when time allows.
