Things To Do

Spend your day on the water and take a relaxing paddle around the lake. Mile Creek Park has kayaks available available to rent for cabin and campground users, with paddles and personal flotation devices included.
The renter must be at least 18 years old and sign a waiver and rental agreement. Contact park personnel for rental questions.

Get in a little exercise and have fun doing it when you shoot some hoops at Mile Creek Park. A covered basketball court is open daily from 7AM to midnight. It’s available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Let the kids blow off some steam on one of four playgrounds at Mile Creek Park. Two have playground equipment, including swings, slides and climbing structures, with beautiful views of the lake. There’s also a swimming area nearby.
Fishing

The trout are rated good to very good. These fish are continuing to move into the main lake, and there are some good reports of fish being caught on the main intakes. Your best bet is with silver and gold spoons.
The largemouth bass are rated fair and are scattered around the lake. Some herring are working around 20-50 feet, but not having much surface action. The bluegills are rated good. Your best results are shallow waters around wood.
