Rules and Regulations

These rules and regulations are designed to assist in the enjoyment and protection of the park. If you have any questions or observe a violation of these regulations, please contact Park Personnel. Failure to comply with any park rule may result in expulsion from the park.

  1. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  2. The consumption and/or possession of ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are PROHIBITED on all park property. This includes the camping area and campsites.
  3. No attempt shall be made to destroy, deface, disturb, alter or remove any facilities, wildlife or vegetation in any park. Cutting or trimming trees or underbrush is prohibited.
  4. Build fires only in designated areas. Fire rings cannot be moved. Do not leave burning unattended. All fires must be completely extinguished before leaving.
  5. All garbage and refuse shall be placed in dumpster located beside dump station #1. Failure to do so, or deliberate littering on land or water, may be subject to prosecution.
  6. All liquid waste including sewage and grey water must be collected and disposed of at dump station. 7. The discharge of wastewater from any campsite or recreational vehicle onto the ground or into Lake Keowee is against County Ordinance and may result in a penalty of $1,000 per day until the violation is remedied.
  7. All pets must be on leash or under physical restraint at all times. Pets will not be left unattended. Noisy/aggressive animals must be removed from the park. Owners are required to pick up after pets. No pets in bathhouses.
  8. Only campers and their guests are allowed in campground. No cruising is allowed in campgrounds.
  9. Campers are responsible for the behavior of all campers and visitors associated with the campsite and are responsible for following all rules, regulations and policies of Mile Creek Park.
  10. Camp only at designated sites. Only one camper and one tent, or two tents per site. Not more than 2 vehicles and eight persons, including visitors. A camping unit must be set up upon checking-in.
  11. No washing of vehicles, campers or boats on site.
  12. Maximum stay of 14 days on one site, 28 days total in the Park. At the conclusion of this (or any shorter) length of stay, any and all guests, their personal property, and all vehicles must be removed from the Park for at least one 14 day reservation period
  13. Golf carts must be driven by a licensed driver and display a valid state permit. Golf carts must have headlights/taillights if driven after dark.
  14. All posted speed limits and other regulations shall be followed.
  15. Keep vehicles on established roads; park only in designated areas.
  16. Vehicles, which due to excessive noise, disrupt the peaceful enjoyment of other campers and/or visitors will not be permitted.
  17. All empty watercraft trailers and utility trailers must be taken to the upper parking area. Do not leave empty trailers in campground or in lower parking area.
  18. Due to underground wiring, digging and/or trenching is not allowed. Use wood, fiberglass or plastic tent stakes only.
  19. The possession or use of fireworks, explosives, firearms or other weapons is prohibited. Authorized law enforcement officers are exceptions to this regulation.
  20. No vendors or commercial activities unless authorized in writing by Director.
  21. Covered picnic areas are available on a first come first serve basis unless reserved.
  22. Loud radios, televisions, engines or other activities that unreasonably disturb other park users are prohibited.
  23. All camping units must have current license plate or registration in order to camp.
  24. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid picture ID to register for camping.
  25. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult while using park facilities.
