Mission

The Pickens County Engineering Office provides engineering support to Pickens County Departments and staff. The Pickens County Engineering Office provides support for County construction activities including new road and bridge construction, stormwater analysis, culvert replacement, liaison activities with other governmental agencies and other duties as required. The Pickens County Engineering Office provides these services in a courteous, prompt, timely, and efficient manner.

A: All County Roads have requirements stated in Ordinance 154. Please go to the section on county ordinances.

A: Yes, if it is a county construction project. If not, we will try to direct you to the correct office.

Q: What does the County Engineer do?

A: The County Engineering office conducts inspections of subdivision roads for compliance with Ord. 154; inspect county construction projects, i.e. new bridges; inspect drainage problems and draft correction plans; conduct traffic studies; prepare drawings for various county projects as needed.
