Pickens County Council is a six member elected governing body dedicated to providing the most efficient services to its citizens. The Council is responsible for adopting the annual budget, setting the county property tax rate and determining the goals and objectives that reflect the best interest of Pickens County. Daily operations of the County are directed by the County Administrator, who is appointed by the Council.

Council Meetings: Council meets the First and Third Monday's of each month.
All Regular Council Meetings are held in the Council Chambers.
 
Pickens County Council holds a regular Council Meeting as follows:

• First Monday of every month at 6:30 PM.
• Third Monday of every month at 6:30 PM

Please be advised the First Monday meeting is a Public Forum, this is an opportunity for
citizens to come before council with various issues. Please limit your comments to 3 – 5
minutes. Council encourages citizen participation and asked that you contact the Clerk to
Council at 864-898-5856 to sign up for this forum, or sign up in Council Chambers.

The Third Monday meeting is not a Public Forum, but is always open to the public.
