manage bond proceeds and debt service requirements, invest funds unnecessary for current
expenses, receive funds from other County departments, and file reports and summaries for
various government agencies.
The mission of the Pickens County Treasurer's Office is to strive to offer prompt and
courteous service to the citizens of Pickens County. This office collects vehicle tax payments
year round and all current property taxes from October 1 to March 16 of each year.

If you have an escrow account please check with your mortgage co. to see if they are going
to pay your property taxes. We will send you a bill around the first of October each year. You
should make a copy of this and send it to your mortgage co. If they are going to pay, do not
send in a payment. You can look on the website to see when they pay your taxes. Most
mortgage companies do not send in payment until the end of December. They have until Jan.
15 to get your taxes paid. We are required to go by the US postmark so make sure you have
your payments postmarked before the due date.
